With over 20 years of experience working with non-profit organizations and over 15 years of business ownership, Kari understands the challenges faced by organizations and companies with limited resources and time. Her work is practical in nature and focuses on providing services that assist organizations in realizing their short and long-term goals.
Her experiences and passion for helping people has brought her in contact with world leaders, inner-city youth, non-profit professionals and business people. Her Masters degree in International Administration combined with her experiences living, teaching and working abroad has resulted in a deep commitment to diversity and to the concept of empowering people to affect change. Highlights from Kari's career include:
Speaker: Kari has spoken before 6,000 people through her training programs, speeches before business and cultural groups and also as a speaker for regional and national conferences. She enjoys serving as a resource for members of the media on cultural issues. Event Planning: Responsible for over 70 events that have included over 120 speakers. Speakers included UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, Senators John Kerry and John McCain, Irish President Mary Robinson, Pakistani President Benzir Bhutto, and Former NATO Supreme Allied Commander Wesley Clark.
Volunteer Management: 20 years of volunteer management including supervising over 30,000 hours of volunteer time that involved over 400 volunteers.
Marketing: Professor in the Marketing Department of two Greek Universities, Chair of the Ski For Light marketing committee during a visit of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Haakon of Norway. Honors: Fulbright-Hays Scholarship to study multi-cultural education, Ski For Light Volunteer Service Awards: Outstanding Achievement Award, President's Award Service: Kari has been proud to volunteer her time to assist non-profit organizations.
